Program

Start diving today with the most popular dive training program in the world. Begin at home with the Professional Association Of Diving Instructors Open Water Diver interactive CD-ROM or PADI Open Water Diver Video and Manual where you cover the program material at your pace, then meet with your PADI Instructor to elaborate on the practical skills of diving. This program includes knowledge development sessions and pool dives, the first two elements of diver certification. Four open water dives under the supervision of an instructor completes the process that will open your underwater world to a lifetime of adventure.

PREREQUISITES:

10 years of age or older

Good health with reasonable fitness and comfort in the water

PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

SECTION #1 KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT

Knowledge of the equipment, dive skills and procedures, diving tables, and travel opportunities are introduced in this section of the program.

SECTION #2 POOL DIVING

This section runs concurrently with the knowledge development part of the program. Here you will practice and learn the practical diving skills in a confined-water environment similar to diving in the open water.

SECTION #3 OPEN WATER DIVING

This completes the certification process with four open water dives within a 12-month period of completion of the knowledge development and pool diving sections.
